Cheerleading
I just started to cheerlead this year. In my old school we didn't have a football team for our grade so we couldn't have a cheerleading squad. But, when I moved here I wanted to try cheerleading for a season and see if I like it. I did! I love to cheer now and do different stunts, supporting our football team. Every cheersquad has different groups in it. In my group I have Rhiannon as our flyer, Kaitlin and I as bases and Peyton as our back. We do really cool and different stunts in our group. Rhiannon is really light and skinny so we can do more stunts because we don't have to hold as much weight. Last week was my last cheerleading game. I won't be here for this Saturday's one, so last week was my ending cheerleading game. I had tons of fun with everyone and met a lot of new friends. I plan on doing it next year and hope to get better at it.

Shopping
Every year when I was little on my birthday or before my birthday, I went on a huge shopping spree with my Nana. We would go to Limited Too and Justice and when I was really little we went to Build-A-Bear. I would have so much fun, getting mostly everything I wanted. My Nana would always save up money for this trip. After we were done shopping we would go to the food court and get slushies, which were always a tradition, and something else special. I would always look forward to this day, but one year my Nana didn't take us. We stopped going on that trip, which I didn't understand when I was little, but I do now.

Patriots Essay
Does Patriotism still matter?
By: Kennedi Bates
Boom! Boom! The shots of the guns were so loud, almost like there was someone yelling in your ear every second. Everywhere men are falling to the ground, screaming in pain. This was war; this was what it felt like to be fighting for your country. All of a sudden a grenade gets thrown at the ground, planning to blow up tons of men, but a certain man could not let that happen. He threw himself over the grenade, saving other men from dying, saying goodbye to his family. Without a doubt, Patriotism still matters because when people love and fight for their country, they will always somehow never lose.
A part of patriotism is to keep your country save and not give up on your country. If you don’t care about your country, then why are you in that specific country? Besides, without patriotism all the countries would fail. There is still Patriotism in different countries, but sometimes not as much as there used to be. We will never lose if we care about our country and try to make it better.
Even though caring about your country is important, fighting for it is exactly the same but you involve war. A lot of people that are in the army, air force or navy seals are all willing to fight for their country and die for it. Throughout time people in the army get killed every day for their country. But, you have to believe that you can win and that your country will succeed. War and fighting is a big part of Patriotism.
Even though fighting and war is a big part in Patriotism, you have to love your country to be patriotic. If you don’t love your country and be loyal to your country, a lot of the time you’re giving up on your country which eventually turns into failure. Patriotism is everything, even if it means helping your country’s environment or just helping out. Besides patriotism doesn’t all have to be about war or fighting, you just need to believe in your country and help it.
Overall when you’re fighting and are loyal to your country, you can never lose. Thousands of men die every year from battle. Since they are willing to die for their country, they will never give up. But, Patriotism doesn’t all have to be about war. You just have love your country and fight for it.
